Welcome to GeoSystems.
“It is necessary to know the pore geometry of a rock before fluid movement through it can be analyzed.”
- Maurice Muskat 1937
It is widely recognized that hydrocarbon displacement is controlled at the pore level. Therefore GeoSystems believes that all reservoir studies should be based on pore level modeling of the reservoir. We develop a quantitative model of the pore geometry of the reservoir beginning by characterizing the formation into Rock Types -- intervals of rock with well-defined petrophysical properties. This is based on direct measurement of pore geometry using computer-based image analysis of rock samples. All reservoir data is then integrated with this data to improve recognition and interpretation of seismic, log, production and reservoir engineering data.
Our services are built around this study of pore geometry. Please review our list of services and products to see how this approach can help you better understand your reservoir’s performance.
